Bonifacio Monument at Grace Park, Caloocan City

Caloocan as a toponym comes from the Tagalog root word lo-ok; kalook-lookan (or kaloob-looban) means "innermost area". The city's name is colloquially spelled as Kalookan.

It officially the City of Caloocan, is a 1st class highly urbanized city in Metropolitan Manila, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 1,583,978 people making it the fourth-most populous city in the Philippines.

This is the elementary school I graduated. I joined almost every extracurricular activity of the school, on-the-spot painting, chorale group, boy scouting, rondalla and science club. I was a member of the school version of the popular singing group called Hagibis that became popular in the inter-school activities.

Local fiesta is held every January 9 of the year. There are other fiesta celebration like Sta. Cruzan and Flores de Mayo observed in my home town. Sagrada Familia is the patron saint of our community church. Most of the locals participate in Prusisyon that is held in conjunction with the local fiesta.
